my 1969 2+2

I have had the car for about 5 years now. I'm building it as a driver so fixing it up as I go.

The car was from Beausejour MB. My aunt bought the car in 2012 with plans of fixing it up. The car was parked in 97 from what we where told, unfortunately it ended up siting for about 4 years in a wet garage where I ended up getting the car. It continued to sit for another year before I brought it home in the spring of 2017. Since then I started off with the mechanical getting it from being dry seized to running. Then I started on the brakes, all new shoes wheel cylinders on all 4 corners, new master and all new lines. I attempted to repair the gas tank with no luck so got a new tank for it. So now it is a running and driving time to start on the rust and body work. Still in progress but she is on the road as of 2019.

Just an FYI. Your valve covers are on the wrong sides. The filler cap should be on the drivers side, back by the brake booster.

 And never mind that, still the original heater hoses and clamps, pretty impressive!

Congrats on saving this one!!

I have some family who live just outside of Vivian;
My car was parked in an old barn there for over winter 1996/spring 1997 just before I made the hard decision to move back to Alberta.

The title of your thread made me remeber that I drove to Beausejour one time on a quest for a Sllurpee in summer 1996 - I was an excuse for a drive on roads less travelled (by myself);
The best I could come up with was an "ice-ee"(??)
It was a slushy made with ice and flavoured syrup.
It sucked (punn not intended).

I never made the trip there again - in part to no slurpees ;)

From Wiki, for those who didn't already know-

Canadians purchase an average of 30 million Slurpee drinks per year. Manitoba was crowned the Slurpee Capital of the World for the twentieth year in a row in 2019. 7-Eleven stores across Winnipeg sell an average of 188,833 Slurpee drinks per month. The rest of Canada sells an average of 179,700 per month, which makes Winnipeggers the world leader of Slurpee sales.

 I used to switch the valve covers and put the oil fill on the passenger side. A lot easier to add oil, especially with air conditioning.

With that Edelbrock intake, you might have to rig something up for your upper alternator bracket. The thermostat housing is in a different spot than original, and the upper alternator bracket bolts onto the thermostat housing.

this is the car i picked up for parts but decided to fix as well when im done this one. 1969 parisienne. i got this on from Brandon MB from a barn the guy boght it in 85 with plans of fixing but never got around to it and decided to sell it so someone else who may fix it or be used to fix another car. so far i have used one fender from it that was worth saving and the hood hinges and a few other odes and end. this one needs complete floors iner and outer tubs trunk pan tailpanil quarters and front fenders. so far i have gotten a rad support and both old stock half quarters rear tail lights and the side marker lenses . slowly gathering all the parts i need to start on this one.20190721_194121_HDR.jpg20190721_194134.jpg20190721_194153.jpg20190725_200940_HDR.jpg
