He meant he has the body tag from a car that was born a 427. You can "rebody" cars, but smarter folks know where the hidden VINs are on the chassis and body, so it's not trivial, and rarely ethical!

Please carefully remove the Safari trim, marker lights and emblems.

4A D99M38
[38] is tb350

Yes, that's a Laurentian. Try to save the body side trim as it's unique to Laurentian (just stainless and no rubber insert) and is really hard to find.

I suspect 4A is an exterior color code, not certain though.

D99 is Special Two-Tone Paint, Moulding. (The stainless moulding dividing the roof section from the body section.  My Parisienne has it, even though the roof and body were same color).

M38 is Turbo 350 transmission.

I suggest you post this as a separate topic.

A Caddy expert may not read a topic about a 69 Pontiac

little up date on my 2+2 i have unfortunate been hectically bizzy with life and have not had much free time to work on it all the metal work is done just need to finish the body work on the drivers side prime and paint. this being said i have bought my owen place and will be moving so unfortunately i will be putting up my ruby (convertible) for sale along with the Laurentian as a package deal in the next week or 2 . i have had them both ruining and driving however the Laurentian i have parted the front wiring harness fender bumper and a few interior bits for my 2+2. ruby (convertible) has the soft ray tinted glass power windows and top as well as nos rad support with aluminum rad two sets of trim 2 good right fenders and a reparable left fender would need truck floor laurentian has a very reparable truck floor that i was going to use and quarters / wheal tubs would need to be made truck is full of parts as well. i was thinking $4500 woud be a fare price for the paire or am i out to lunch? seen other 69 parisienne convertibles in simuler shape with out power windows/ missing hard to find pars/ smashed for $3500 to $4000
