Nice car for sure, in the early seventies i had a 1967 impala ss,327 4speed car.It had a very similar moulding from the factory .It was gold with a black PAINTED roof.
Were Beaumonts available with two tone paint (paint where a vinyl roof would have been)?
This must have had a vinyl roof or paint or could the trim be ordered without it?
I can't speak for 2 tone paint but the vinyl top trim was available as a stand alone option, RPO D99, my car was born with it but was removed when it had it's one repaint.
As an aside the owner updated the FB ad and said he's had an overwhelming response and couldn't respond to everyone so he's dealing with the first 3 people that contacted him. If I didn't already have my 69 I certainly would have thrown my hat in the ring as it looks damn nice and only about an hour away!
My 66 Beaumont 4 door hardtop had an option called D99 Special two tone paint which resulted it coming with a black painted roof instead of the vinyl. I assume this would have been available in other years for people who knew to ask. I 'm glad the guy did that.

'69s were definitely available with two-tone paint as I recall seeing a couple on the street back in the day when they were just used cars. I was actually considering buying a '69 Custom two door hardtop with the 2-tone treatment (gold with black painted roof) back in the '80s. Just anecdotal, though, I don't have any documentation to prove it.

I'm pretty sure there was a 68 sd around here that was ash gold (or similar) with a black painted roof. There's a 67 around now in blue with a white painted roof from the factory.
The funny thing is, before I read on this site that the divider chrome was an option all on its own, I used to think that cars equipped like this originally had a vinyl top that was removed or that it was two-tone and repainted all the same colour. I wondered why somebody would go to the trouble of doing that, but not removing the chrome divider that now seemed out of place - only to find out years later that they were actually ordered that way.
