Despite everything I've posted in this thread, I haven't completely divorced myself from the sport... GO LEAFS!  biggrin

The wheels are quickly falling off the band wagon. It's soon going to be time to clean the dust of the golf clubs!

It's better that the Leafs band-aide was pulled off quickly instead of slowly.

Been a Leafs fan since the 50's but all is not well in Leaf-ville. Habs deserved to win, Leafs looked terrible from game 1 on....cry

For those that think hockey has changed, for the worse (and I do; lived through four Leafs Stanley Cups!), try being a basketball fan. If the NBA shows up by accident on our family room screen, I'm immediately gripped with an urge to talk to the big white telephone. Even if I haven't been drinking!

It was going to be a beautiful sunrise for either one of the teams this morning... happy it was for the hard working guys!

As a big fan of basketball it pains me to say I agree with you. It seems that sports have gone away from "sport" and have become 100% financially driven. This year compared to other years of NBA is horrendous.

Sorry for the derail hockey fans but I won't be shocked if you guys say that hockey is going the same direction.

67Poncho, I don't know here you got this quote from but lets put it here in its own tread. This hits the nail right on the head!

Have to agree, Carl.  I've been struggling to watch NBA this season.

I stopped watching hockey a long time ago, but occasionally will jump on the playoff bandwagon as usually the motivation is there.  I have to say, after watching the last half of last night's game, that IMHO the level of play was not all that great, and not very fun to watch.

Oh well... on to baseball.

I've been saying this for decades. Almost EVERY "sport".
