The interchange books say they only fit 66 or 67. However I'm hoping Fake68 sees this because I almost think he and a friend installed the earlier regulators into a 67 many years ago. The GM parts books in the Hollander interchange both say no.

Convertible 1/4 regulators will work in a hardtop with the door panel bulged out a little into the seat bottom. (may need to trim the inner panel a little).
Hardtop 1/4 regulators will NOT work in convertible.. doesn't clear the cylinder retract mechanism (maybe only interferes on manual tops ?? not certain).
