Headliner photo

Car went to the Trim Shop and the headliner was pulled down to reveal the mounting point for the 3 point seat belts.  Quite rusty...

Seat Belt rooflinge mounting point for 3 belts .jpg

Fortunately the mounting point has the nuts captured in the frame of the roof.

Too much work to spray the roof with the Lizard Skin sound proofing..   Would be many hours of labour to remove all of the factory insulation and glue along with the rust.

Since there was doubt that the mounts were even there I had not ordered the 3 point belt system.

The new headliner was installed with the bolt holes marked to indicate the mounting points.

Now I have to research for a suitable 3 point belt system.

I used Morris Classic Concepts for my 3 point belts. They are pricey, but I'm happy with the quality. Good selection of colors and different buckles.

check out Seatbelt Solutions in Florida. We used them at NOS ; great product & meets Federal specs. Be careful many products don't meet federal specs ! Some say DOT specs but that only applies to tires !

Ordered from Seat Belt Solutions and had many conversations prior to ordering.

Excellent customer support as I talked directly to the president.  Indicated 6 weeks for delivery and arrived in 3 weeks.

The belts are a dark blue with the GM logo on the buckle.

Placed the order with the stipulation that they ship them by USPS ONLY.

Arrived today nice and securely packaged. Will get them to the trim shop as soon as they can fit me in.
