It went from $19k to $28K with the addition of a 396/400 combo. It wasn't selling so he raised the price. Or- he doesn't want to sell it and tells his wife there is no interest in the car so he can keep it scenerio. Just saying.........

Isn't 28k getting into SD territory?

I think SD territory is $50K now.

This is a nice survivor, but needs a 4-speed to go with the big block.

I am thinking different seller now, bought it for most likely less than the $19k, selling for $28k, and will throw in the 396/th400 for an extra $3500

Nice work if you can get it......

DANO65 pretty sure youre right, was in Smithers BC, now in Kamloops BC. At $19K a nice car but a little rich for me at $28K, if thats the market I definitely got mine for a good deal then.

I'm wondering if that's going to continue to be the market, though.  Vaccinations are going up, Covid numbers are going down.  I've heard rumours that the price of lumber is dropping... maybe we are seeing the start of a retreat from Covid-craziness?

I've heard this also. I'm going to confirm.

Any way I can get a picture of the back side of the rear bumper. Body shop took it apart for powercoating a year ago and don't see how all the metel goes together.

I'll post ad details in case the ad disappears.  When it shows up as an SD clone next year we'll be able to look back at this one...

Just for the record, I'd love to have this car if it were reasonably priced (and not on the other side of the country).  The only thing I would change would be to swap out the white letter tires for white stripes that would look period correct (and throw away those little tree shaped air fresheners...).  All you big block 4-speed guys could blow by me on the highway but it wouldn't bother me for a second.  wink

BTW, for those in the know, is the bottom section of the air cleaner correct for '68?  For some reason the snorkel section looks different than I recall, but I haven't seen a lot of these cars with sixes.

My vision for this car is not an SD clone but rather yes install the 396, put a 68 Poncho 396 fender flash on it, get some redlines and drive it. I absolutely love those wheel discs.

Factory like stealth.

Nice car...But man that seems pricey for a 6 banger car!!!. A 5spd conversion from say a S10 with that 6 would be neat.
