Unfortunately I do not have a line on any but in the interest of being helpful this bumper is found on the following LeMans models:

LeMans, LeMans Sport Coupe , GT, GTO, Luxury LeMans and Grand Am. 1973 only no other years are interchangeable, 2 and 4 door use same part (Safari is not compatible)

Did a little digging tonight and it looks like the going rate for this one year only bumper is $2,450 and up and this is for the raw bumper, no accessories like rub strip, gas tank door, license plate light, bumper filler or bumperettes all equally as hard to find.

For comparison the Safari bumper goes for around $300 because it is interchangeable on all A body wagons and years 73-77. Kinda sucks eh?

Shame GM didnt go 73-74 as their two year span. If I had a time machine Id go back to when the strike or the decision was made about the 72 model year and rewrite history.

Would have been 72-73, 74-75 then 76-77.

If released in 72 maybe there would have been a Judge?

So far his cheapest find has been one in California which will cost about $1500 with shipping.

I don't know about your friend but I would think long and hard before sinking $1,500 in a 73 LeMans. I've done it but it takes a lot of soul searching.

Do you regret your decision, Ray?  It's an expensive hobby, but do you ever get your money back out of it?

This is just my opinion, but the '73 Lemans a really neat looking car and nice on the road.  Even if dollars in does not equal dollars out, it's really the journey that counts - i.e. you get your money's worth out of the fun you have with it, not what you could sell it for.  Just like people have no problem blowing 10 large on a vacation that will only amount to photographs and memories when it's all done - they'll never get their money back but they paid for the experience, not the investment.  If you want to make more money by investing, there are many many better ways to do it than playing with cars.

Just my

Well I must say that besides me, you are one of the only people I have ever encountered who sees any redeeming qualities in ownership of a 1973 LeMans.

I never regret investing or spending money on the car because I make good decisons.

Looks promising. Gonna be a tough one to get off though. The bumper is attacked to massive energy absorbing shocks mounted on the frame. It's probably only eight bolts but that car has to be up out of the mud. You can likely cut the shocks and deal with bolts later. Not  a picnic in a yard like that.

Actually wont be hard with all the equipment they have. He has a big skid steer with forks and a large tractor with forks so they are very well equipped. Full shop with torches, welders, gantry lift with probably a 14 foot ceiling. Maybe not too neat but lots of equipment. Whoever is looking can get in touch with me and we can see if its doable. What is a fair price for it? I brought him some peaches so we became pretty good friends in half a day.

Ya, how is condition really, it looks like it has license plate hardware and bumper strip so its pretty complete.

I'd start at $250 but wouldn't go past $400. There are plenty of 70 to 72 rears available for under $200 if he needs some comparators.

Glad to hear they are equipped to remove it easily. Torching it off the shocks would be the fastest way.
