Just my own thoughts, nothing to base it on but my gut feeling is he can't be too far of with his price, especially considering that it still has it's original engine. What are the odds of that being in another one if another car like it would surface? Lots of times the big cars were stripped because a Camaro or Chevelle was waiting for a big block.
If there isn't another known example out there, it's tough to say what a fair price would be. I do know I'd love to own it....

Well, I'm going to agree with Carl on this one. It certainly checks all the boxes that collectors and enthusiasts want, 427 #s match - check, 4 speed - check, top sports model - check, convertible - check, red - check, low sales and production - check, etc ........
