Added to my 64 parts inventory today.

Picked this parts car up west of Edmonton today. Guy also had probably a hundred old cars and trucks in his field. His dad started collecting in the 50s.

Your parts car looks pretty darn good Jerel, you must be happy with this acquisition.

You are seeing the best part of it. Grill, front clip, couple drive shafts, cross member, and a set of pedals for a conversion. Disappointed that the frame was pooched and nothing is salvageable from the rear as it has been hit. Get some trunk hinges and springs plus a jack. Back up lights.  Few goodies make it worth while. No you dont get paid for traveling to pick it up but its my hobby and last I checked Ive only spent $14 golfing at the driving range. It is a great way to meet other car enthusiasts and tour the country.

Looks like you should have taken a bigger trailer! Lots of nice iron in that field.

There's a 64 2 dr sedan sitting just off Glenmore heading into Lake Country, that's sitting in a field. Doesn't look too bad either!

Well how can be missing that, only 15 minutes from home. Not 12 hours like this one!  Is it brown?

Farmers bone yards are so cool to walk through. They never throw anything away. Say Jerel. How are getting your convertible home now? Trailer doesnt look long enough for two cars.

Car is pretty much stripped already. Parts all in the back of the truck so room for my car. Actually dealing on another car so I may drive the convertible home and fly back for the truck and trailer if the deal goes through.

So here is the payload all fitting in the back of the truck. Surprisingly the frame was toast as the rest of the body wasnt that rusty. Basically left the rear window and the differential. Talked to a guy out of Edmonton who has a 4 door and may take the carcass.

A good trade. Had the back of the truck full of peaches on the way out and now car parts on the way back.

Those top A arms with the grease fittings are a good part to keep if they are in good shape

Ya, those greasable upper a arms are canadian only i always save them.   Same with the 1964 specific adjustable rear control arms with the Cam washers. And i always like to keep the gigantic canadian only heater core, as well as the one year only 64 front door hinges.  it always amazes me how many unique things are on the 64's that changed in 65.

doesnt look like you took very much.  when i strip a parts car i take everything!biggrin

Well for me it is a couple things.  I have limited time when I come out here as I also want to do other things and the other thing is I have not ever sold any of those parts you mentioned or even had them requested for so I do quick and easy for the parts I figure I have a chance of selling. Only thing I wish I could have kept was the diff and my brother will keep it for a month or so. I do get an odd inquiry for them or at least axles.

And as I see for you too rear glass isnt a quick seller and I think I got $25 for the last one. I try to still keep a 2 door one around as they sell every couple of years.
