Found this under my seat today

i know we are fortunate to have access to vintage GM docs to verify our cars but I still like the idea of having the actual original paperwork for our cars.

Finally pulled the backseat and was happy to see mine still contained this tattered piece of assembly line history.

So cool, I always like seeing those. We are very lucky compared to our south neighbours. We have so much more availaable for us to "prove" our cars.

68 vert,

Here's how your GM of Canada line tag decodes

685 73667 5050 795 477736  A82 B93 C50 D33 D99 M38 U63

685 = guess production schedule number

73667 = model number for a Beaumont Custom V8 two door sport coupe

50 = lower body exterior paint colour Cameo White

50 = upper body exterior paint colour Cameo White

795 = interior code for Dark Green cloth and vinyl bench seats

477736 = body order number for this car

A82 = option code for my guess with out docs seat belts or head rests

B93 = option code for door edge guards

C50 = option code for rear window defogger

D33 = option code for remote driver side mirror

D99 = option code for two tone body mouldings

M38 = option code for a Turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission

U63 = option code for AM push-button radio

Dave, I fixed a minor glitch in your decode. I didn't want there to be any confusion if someone would read this who doesn't know their model numbers. They might think a 73667 is a hardtop when it actually would be a convertible. Knowing how well you know your numbers I'm thinking you must have had your mind on something else!

The RPO list in the library here shows A82 would be headrests on bench seat models which would make sense for this car.

Hi guys, thanks so much for the decode and yes my car has the headrests on the bench so I think Carl is correct on the A82 code. Previous owner changed out to Black interior.

B93 Door edge guards and D99 2 tone body mouldings are gone too but rest is there.

4Speed427,

I have to stop doing a few things at the same time.  You are correct I was dong two cars....  One after the other and had a brain fart on this decode.  Thanks for finding and correcting it.  So as not to confuse anyone. Covid-19 is taking a toll on my facilities.   This slip up is a manifestation of that fact.
