I am not really a fan of the US cars even though I own one. The Canadian Pontiac had the master cylinder under the floor with a rubber plug that was easily removed to check or had brake fluid. The American cars have the master cylinder ahead of the brake pedal and its a pain to add fluid. The Canadian cars moved the master cylinder up to the firewall in 1955, and also changed to ball joints in 1955. The American cars still had king pins and the master cylinder on the frame up to at least 1957.
