So THAT's why my passenger window wouldn't roll down...

Spent the last day pulling the doors off my 94 Chevy 3500 and removing the manual window regulators to swap over to the doors I got from Vincent (they have power windows and locks). The passenger window was always stuck in the up position. Well I found the reason. This is the the channel that's usually bonded to the glass where those two nylon wheels on the regulator roll on:

One of the wheels was stuck in the rust. Luckily the regulator and those wheels are fine. Gotta love that east coast salty air!

Wow, that's pretty crusty.

So do I read it right, you aren't doing a power window and lock conversion?

No factory harness provisions in my vehicle. There's not even a hole cut in the door pillar for a harness. I like 'em simple anyway.

Thats a good reason. Now that we are heading into cooler temps its not like your going to roll them down at all. Except if there is a drive through nearby.

I added power windows to a 1994 pickup years ago. The power window harness from the donor truck plugged into the junction block under the dash. Routing the harness was the hardest part. The cab was being changed and already had the holes in the door posts.
