1964 Parisienne US$149,000

George, I concur with your observations regarding the console. It is definitely not an original '64 Pontiac automatic console. I, too, may be wrong but I thought that the Canadian Impala consoles all had the engine turned aluminum on the manual and automatic consoles. This look matched the dash as well as the exterior trim. My original '64 CS 4 speed console had the brushed aluminum insert of which you speak. These brushed aluminum console inserts are no longer available for Pontiacs. However, one can purchase the less expensive engine turned aluminum by the roll or, as I did, purchase the more expensive engine turned aluminum insert for either a 4 speed or automatic console. When I redid my CS, I purchased the self-adhesive engine turned decal in a roll and cut sections to fit the dash. I opted for the engine turned aluminum insert for the console since I believe it to be more durable than the self-adhesive "mac tack." Since I have no regard for originality, the fact that my console (and part of the dash) now look similar to a '64 Chev does not bother me in the least. I have long admired the engine turned aluminum look dating back to my infatuation with 1957 T'Birds. This CS owner may well have modified a '64 Impala console or merely inserted the aluminum inserts into a '64 Pontiac console and raised the console lid to provide a more comfortable armrest.  The picture shows what I did to my CS.  IMG_2638.JPG

Boy...You guys are tough to please.

Something to consider, ... just putting it out there. Could it possibly have been an Executive Gold hat car? There were piles of "special order" cars from Oshawa, not normally available to the public ordered by GM Execs at Oshawa.

He definitely told me the car was Canadian and he knew where there was a second one. Apparently him and the Canuck owner were good friends and the Canuck was elderly and sick..and was possibly the owner of the second car.

It was 2018, and a 2 minute "car guy' conversation, so my memory is a little foggy. Has to be Covid !!! LOL

GM paperwork available so the owner could get that and remove all doubt. Someone has asked him to do that, havent seen an reply to that request.

No matter how nice this car is (and it is nice)  - and even if it is an original 409/425 (which seems to be in question) - I have a hard time imagining it attracting $150K

You would think the seller could substantiate the price with GM Canada paperwork.

Is he a member here?  Possibly not, therefore he would know nothing about this discussion...
