Saw one of the new ford mavericks yesterday

Saw this at the Gimli ford dealer yesterday

The price sticker says $45,400.  Its an FX4

I was surprised to see one at a rural dealership

I have a friend who works at a city ford dealership and he says they are still expecting a bit of a wait for stock

Not that i am in the market for one but from a bit of quick researchs shows that pricing to be comparable to a Tacoma TRD

Not bad for a modern vehicle. But since it's a truck and not an economy car, and Ford seems to on a nostalgia trip, I can't  figure out why they didn't call this machine a "Ranchero".

I agree. It is only a toy truck.

The reviews of the Maverick have been pretty good so far. The base version is a Hybrid and gets 42mpg however I heard dealers won't stock the base model so you'd have to special order one. It's likely enough truck for most people (like the Ranger and S10's were). I'd need something a little more substantial as I often use my truck to pull fallen trees out of the woods, plow snow etc.

I think it would be the perfect size. I like it.

Ford's 2021 SEMA Tucci Maverick concept is spectacularly good (msn.com)

Probably still enough of a truck for what most people use them for.

I got out of a Ram in 2016 and got in a Canyon thought the smaller size was enough. Now im back in a Sierra and I truly want to stay in a full size now

Doesn't look Australian at all! It looks like a Chinese Great Wall with a front made to look like an F-truck. Would be useless, a front wheel drive hybrid ute, would be lucky to tow a box trailer! There is a 2.0L version that can be had with AWD.

Just saw this little "Quick View" video about the Maverick. It's not too bad of a vehicle however I worry about the long term reliability of anything with a CVT transmission.

Dont worry too much most people will trade this in about 4-5 years
