Hurst Shifter ID

This is a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter I have which I think is a 65-67 Chevrolet/ Cdn Pontiac B body. Any thoughts, opinions? IMG_7264.JPGIMG_7266.JPGIMG_7267.JPG

Here's the sheet for 65 - 67.  Looks like you're missing the mounting plate.

The correct mount plate will say 4205 on it.

Murray, I went right to the bottom of this page, typed in "4205" and found a few CP threads that might answer your question. There's some pictures in some of the threads too.

The parts list in the drawing indicates the mounting plate is part # 4205.

I could be proven wrong, but I had thought that a factory installed Hurst four speed shifter never had the positive stop bolts;
I had long understood that the presence of a positive stop bolt was a sure way to identify an aftermarket shifter.

I think you are right about the stops. In this case though there is no factory Hurst shifter for the particular application. This is an aftermarket shifter for a B body.  I don't think there was ever any Canadian Pontiac/Beaumont/Acadian that had a factory Hurst shifter installed in it.
