Lots of guys will say that's way too much, you're better off with some sort of fancy engine. To me though that's a good price if it's a good engine.

$900-$1000 maybe. It's a core with zero H/P parts. It would make a difference if it'a 4 bolt as well. I wish he'd of posted pic's of the oil filter area. That will tell you if it's a 4 bolt or 2 bolt.

The casting number I think is for a TBI truck engine. Some TBI engines in one ton trucks have a very low compression ratio, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 7.6 to one. A set of pistons would be one of the best upgrades.
