 of 87 Acadian Beaumont Convertibles built in Oshawa, Ontario Canada & sold NEW @ Cliff Mills Pontiac Buick
(Supporting GM Documentation provided)

Probably the only one left with the original drive train and color combination of Tuxedo Black & Dark Red Bucket Seating.

Equipped with a 4 Cylinder (153 CID 90 HP) & Automatic transmission.

Restored to Original Condition & Colors

Trailer is of superior build and an excellent addition to this beauty.

 I have only seen two, this one makes three. A friend cut up a 66 or 67 about thirty years ago to use the engine for a log splitter on his farm, the second was a 64 sedan at a car show this past summer. For curiosity I looked on Rock Auto and they show the Chevy ll/Nova with a four cylinder up to 1970! The second generation cars were much heavier, the four cylinder would have a hard time pulling one of them.

Two comments on this:

1-Could this car even pull a trailer?

2-I sure hope he didn't cut up another 62 Acadian Convert to make his trailer.

 

Ok! another comment.

Its funny , as I get older I like the thought of this car with the 4 cylinder and all more and more. I guess we all tend to slow down a bit as we get towards the end of the tape measure of life. (except for Carl.)

Love the colour combo. I would park the trailer 99% of the time.

It actually doesn't look too bad with skirts. You can roast a turkey in that rad shroud!

 I wonder what production numbers would have been for those, especially in the later models.  You would think they must have sold some to keep it as an option for 8 years, unless they kept it available so that they could advertise low fuel economy numbers (with an asterisk)...
