picked up this 88 during the height of covid, 94 k on it and it be heavy, some assembly required. springs were completely bagged, broken leaves, plain worn out.

they ran this body all the way to 91 in the big trucks, it a v 30, and no one knows what im talking about when I order part, 454 non dually special order short wheel base, the jimmy big tank just fits in the rear and a 4 gear with 456 gears, I couldn't run it past 90 with the stock rubber .the 35s added some top end but I have to use low a lot more
That whole mess with the C/K models and the R/V models was a disaster for us as parts guys. It was extremely rare for a customer to be able to tell me which model he had. Often the VIN seemed to be the only way to get it right.

insurance has it listed as a gmc 3500, I think she got wacked in the nose and got a clip, im thinking of making here a 78 style model just to make things more confusing, and the injection has to go, its miserable to tune
Think the whole thing happened again with the 2000 model of the 3500? Changed for the light duty but not the heavy... Same goes for the 2007! WE have the "Classic" (old body) and the new body style. Sometimes I wish GM would just cut the cord!!
