1971 Acadian?

The ad says '71, but I thought '70 was the last year?  Did a few '71s slip out the door before the onslaught of Venturas, or did the seller just make a mistake?

Yeah but... http://oldcarbrochures.org/Canada/GM-Canada/Pontiac/1971-Pontiac-Ventura-II-Brochure-Cdn-/index.html

It's probably been discussed here before and I don't remember it.  Was Ventura II a mid-year change?  If so, Acadian production must have been quite low, and this would be a rare beast.

Anyhow, the old 4-door in the ad looks decent for the money.  Will probably provide a front clip and various parts for a 2-door Nova.

Would be perfect for me as a driver/restore, but it's 3/4 of a country away from me.  No biggie, I'm really not in the market for an old car anyhow... time to put them away as winter approaches.

Yeah, noted about the interior pics.

Am wondering if Acadians had the same upholstery etc. as Novas by then.  Can't recall... it's probably been covered on this forum... biggrin

Replace the rallys with stock wheels and it would be the spitting image of my best buddy's parent's car from the early seventies.  Neat car.

Thanks for the info.  Any idea on production numbers for 1971?

I'll probably be embarrassed to find all this info is already on the site... aww

Thanks! I may have seen that before.  Maybe just the 1970 brochure with some touch ups by GM to update it?
