Since the chief is getting a body off restoration, i`m rebuilding the suspension. I`m understanding that `58 Chevy parts are the ones i need. Would that apply to new rubber control arm bushings, rear control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc? It`s going to get disc brakes in the front, eventually in the back.
all the small parts will be getting powder coated.
Ive found Show-Cars to be one of the most accurate supplier sites, not perfect but very very good. Check their site for 58 suspension parts, it may give you good info, even if you dont buy from them.
I do not know what changes to stock parts would be needed to install disk brakes. I think it will depend on what kit you buy. Show-Cars probably also sells the kits.
Ive used Energy Suspension poly in all my cars for suspension and motor/transmission mounts.

You are "correct" Everything under your 58 is CHEVY !!!!!! Summit has disc brake conversion as well as BayRidges Chevy here in Ontario. I'm sure you can find it out west too.
