The new Airedale Express is probably the last new ICE-powered vehicle I'll take delivery of, but I'm more inclined to rely on the mainstream manufacturers' processes for EVs, than for start ups.
A friend and former colleague was the programme manager for the Model S Tesla, and became President of Tesla before he flew too close to the sun, and his wings melted in the heat of Elon's radiance. Even he acknowledged that their quality validation was pretty weak, compared to what we were both accustomed to, working for Daimler/Freightliner/Mercedes.
