 Ya and that's about all you can get today for that price. Checked Summit for a Hays clutch and it was around US$465....no

KNAFEL campained an Acadian drag car driven by Doc Dixon, 1967 Invader 2 door post " Tin Indian"" .  Also many assorted Pontiacs, Firebirds & GTO's.

I wonder if there was a specific part number for these engines? Seems odd to see them complete like that with ignition and clutch etc.

If I recall correctly engines such as this were available as service engines with clutch etc. during the current model year, my first parts manager (from 1973-1977) referred to them as "drop-in" engines.

Yes, in the 80's we could get assembly line engines. I remember us getting a 366 for a school bus for a warranty claim. It even had the air cleaner and wing nut on the air cleaner. Top to bottom, ready to drop in.
