Yikes. Impaired driving is really bad here in PEI. Like 1970's bad. I almost got smoked by an impaired driver in 2017 while driving the work truck. Guy in a Toyota came into my lane, swung back and ended up in the ditch. It was 2 in the afternoon and he was 3 or 4 times over the limit.

I've wavered in my time, but never like this. Guys is as good as unconscious.

Good that they are getting it out to the public.  Selfish moron, and of course he had to be driving a 7000 lb SUV to cause major damage to whatever, or whomever, he hits....

Back in the day of racing at Harewood Acres, an old abandoned air port strip one of the organizing clubs put on a demonstration of IMPAIRED DRIVING.

 

They had 3 professional race driving instructors accompany 3 drivers who had to navigate the hay bales spread throughout the circuit.  After each circuit they were supplied with the alcohol of their choice.

After a few laps one of the driving  instructors withdrew from the exercise

The other two continued sampling until the second instructor declared himself out of the picture.

About this time there was a strong debate as to who should accompany the third driver as his condition was not good.

 

Dont remember names but the results of the event sure stick in may mind today.

 

Recall driving my 69 Dodge Dart at a above average speed under the influence and survived.

6000 rpm in 4th gear 138 mph.
