Up for sale, a 1966-67 Impala/Canadian Pontiac 2 speed automatic console. Initially for a Buckets and console for my 67 that will never happen.
Includes the console hump, a shifter boot that has tears, but could be saved, the forward mounting bracket but no rearward brackets(unless they turn up), a 66 Canadian Pontiac console heaterbox deflector, a new repop 3 speed indicator plate and rear lamp lens. Comes with the stock 2 speed lens as well.
100% Intact wiring harness included is for a 1966 Parisienne.
Console lower section is undamaged, carpet has been removed. Storage box carpet was carefully removed and could be used to template a new insert, or cleaned, dyed and used again as is.
Upper section had a typical crack damage in the rear at the lamp lens. Was repaired up to a point, but was not fine finished.
Top die cast plating is all pretty nice, trim plates were removed and new burlwood vinyl applied to them to match a 67 Grande. Repop trims are cheap and available. The trim baseplates are in good shape, not attached to the die cast, and you could apply whatever applique you'd like. Glovebox door and latch work well. Ashtray door works fine, ashtray plating is corroded as usual but could be just cleaned up and painted.
Includes a complete 2 speed shifter assembly with the lever being pretty nice, and a working 2 speed neutral safety switch. 2 speed trans rod 3859855 is included. The detent plate and the rod could possibly be modified to work with a 3 speed.
All the console and shifter assembly hardware is included.
All in all, a pretty complete package that usually isn't available as one. You usually just get a damaged shell. For another $200 I'll paint and assemble everything (2 speed) to your liking. If red, I can install new carpet on the sides and in the bin since I have some new red.
