The Legendary Chevy S10 Makes A Triumphant Return

https://carbuzz.com/news/the-legendary-chevy-s10-makes-a-triumphant-return

"The Chevy S10 is back, but not for us.

The nameplate is returning to Chevy Mexico as a low-priced midsized pickup truck in Latin markets.

This is not related to the Brazilian S10, which is rebadged here as the Chevy Colorado,

but was born in a partnership with China's SAIC Motors, which is partners with GM."

When I started working at the City garage in the 80s there were two 1983 s-10 pickups there with 2.0 four cylinder engines. Extremely gutless with an overdrive automatic. These were four cylinder pushrod engines and always had a hard time getting engine parts. The parts people at the dealer would argue that its not a 2.0 engine. I would need to give them the vin and then there would be some silence and then a comment such as never heard of one of those.
I havent seen another one since with that engine.

Im trying to figure out where the electricity is going to come from for all the electric cars.

I did some math. To eliminate gasoline & diesel in BC, we need to increase electricity production by 300%. I guess we could build some coal-fired power plants like theyre doing in China, and also rebuild the entire electrical grid. Then wed be able to drive our electric cars. That makes perfect sense.

China is firing up more coal to make S10s and electric cars for us.
