I'm wondering if this wouldn't be the exact same thing Dave?

I'll check Dave, I think I can spare some. I think I have an almost full or even full roll to part with.

It's weird that it says it sticks to itself. I wouldn't say that about this stuff. It unwraps with no sticking I would say.

I think it's more of a "friction adhesive"

I find the dry harness wrap actually does seem to cling to itself when stretched. When you untie it and it relaxes, it just unwinds and flops off.

I do have a leftover 1.25" roll, but it probably only has 20' at best left on it. You can have it if you want Dave.

For nine bucks it would be worth a try of the amazon stuff.

I found pretty much a full roll here Dave, I should have you covered for a while.

Did anyone read the reviews for the Amazon Tape?

It's no good for bondage. But great for harnesses!

Anyways, good on you Carl. But if anyone needs some, I believe this amazon product is the same stuff.

Awesome responses!  and so quick!

Yes, Mark,  that stuff you found would sure be worth a try,  sounds like its the same, just a different brand.

Carl if you do an Amazon order one day, maybe i could get a role to tryout.  I dont have amazon

In the mean time,  i may take you up on the offer for the spare role,  no rush for now tho.

THanks guys.

I put a roll in my Amazon cart Dave, so next time I order I'll get one. Meantime I tossed this roll I have in the corner with that 3 speed shifter and your 2 tires. We may come to the city this week still, I'm not sure.

I initially found it here:

https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Vinyl-Wire-Harness-Wrap-Tape-1955-Present,117368.html

Then I found other retailers had it too;

Ames's has it under the following numbers:
FM711A
FM711B
FM711C
FM711G

Classic Industries has it under part number:
K0067

I hope this helps!

I believe CTC have that tape ? They sold it to me previously to seal small leaks in my under ground  garden, watering tubing. I still have a small amount but it's past having a label on the roll. Just stretch and wrap ! No adhesive.

So I ordered this stuff from Amazon. It arrived today and if it's not identical to he Elliot tape it sure is close. If anything it might be a touch thinner than the Elliot tape but I didn't put a micrometer on it to check. I might still do that.

I should have mentioned, if anyone is wondering the brand name inside the sleeve is TAEYOUNG.

Test it out Carl and see if it is good enough for the TAEYOUNG award.

And being an NBA fan, I didn't even think of that but my mind immediately thought TRAE YOUNG from the Atlanta Hawks, he's a young superstar!
