How about they meant to stamp T-10 for a white top? That could be a 1 and T and maybe 1/2 almost on top of each other? Then only had room for a 1/2 stamp and 1/2 was code for a screwup stamping?

Yeah, maybe it means they did 1/2 a job stamping the tag!
