'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Ordered one last week should arrive today looks good from the pics.
Should save a lot of struggling on breaking the beads and also no
garages close to do it for me.
But am going to have to build a bigger garage all my barns are full
and I have a chance to pick up a 30 Ford though not related to Pontiac.
Thanks for the info.
Now that we have a new truck I'm a bit nervous about using the hitch on the truck as a mount. One slip with that big bar and my tailgate would be off to the body shop...
I decided to pursue other options and one thing I read online was to mount it on a pallet. I remembered seeing a local company advertising free pallets recently so I stopped by there shop today and grabbed a nice big one, 5' X 5'.
I'm going to mount the machine to that and give it a try. I'm also working on a quick-remove mount on one of my 4 post hoist posts. I'll update on these as I do them.

Not to brag, but about 30 years ago the local high school was upgrading and threw this out. It's a Coates. I was picking up my daughter, right place at the right time.

I've had some opportunities to buy some older machines but because space for it is a concern I've had to resort to a manual machine that is easily set up and knocked down. It would be nice to have one like that though, nice find!

So yesterday I made a way to mount it on a 5 X 5 pallet I picked up.
Today I decided I wanted to have a plan B in case I didn't like the pallet setup. I made a mount for one of the posts on my floor hoist. I think I might like this even better. I need to do a little bit more welding on the frame, weld on 2 nuts to the frame and paint it. Once that is done it will be a matter of using the impact driver to zip 8 bolts in, 3/8" bolts to attach or detach it. Easy peasy. I haven't done a tire with it yet but it seems very solid.
The 4 pieces of square tubing at the ends of the base (C channel) are for mounting it on the pallet but I decided to use 2 of those 4 to mount it to this steel frame as you can see.
