I discovered an interesting science fiction series that just came out on Netflix called "Cowboy Bebop" about a couple of bounty hunters catching crooks 150 years in the future on colonies in the solar system.

What's fascinating about this series is how it mixes the futuristic with the past. It's part film-noir and sci-fi epic with fantastic music scores and set design. The best part is the cars on these colonies are mostly

from the 1970's and back to the 50's. For example the cops are driving 58 Buick sedans. I've spotted quite a few Pontiacs like this 59 Laurentian which makes sense as the series is filmed in New Zealand

What's really cool (to a sci fi geek like me) is the fact the spaceships all have old style switches and buttons and you can see large crankshafts etc moving in the engine room. 

Worth checking out if you like this type of series.
