Me too. 1st. gen didn't have the same flowing body lines.

Those stickers are hideous! Hope they remove easily for the buyer.

Easier depends on the grit of the sandpaper.

Prior to this Chevette front end components were used.

Bizzarre move by GM - invest in all the engineering and tooling to hang new suspension, then cancel it after one year.  Must be hard to find suspension parts for 1988s.

I'm weird, but I kinda like the initial Fiero styling the best.  It seemed a little cleaner and less "plasticky", if that's a word.  I remember sitting in a new one in the showroom in 1984, and thought they were pretty cool, but I never drove one.

I wonder what the Chevette suspension was like under them?  I have driven several Chevettes/Acadians (with their steering wheel off to the right and their pedals off to the left) and was not really impressed.

I have a 2 door 1980 Acadian with 53,000 km. I would take them, but I'm afraid to ask how much the shipping to

Calgary would be. Where in Ontario are you?

Couldn't find the one in Sault St Marie. Saw a nice one in Victoria- 88 with 5 speed. Looks like these are 10 grand cars now.

Yes a real time machine Mark, this is original paint. Only change I made was new tires to replace the original set that were bald and were still on the car from 1980.

I bought the car from a fellow who put 20,000 kms on it in seven months. He got it from an estate sale.

At the time I bought the new tires ,they were the last matching set of 13" whitewalls in Canada. Two tires came from Quebec and the other two from B.C.

Still looking for a few items for it. One being a passenger side chrome mirror. This is the second Acadian I have had. The first one I had was a 1985.

That one I gave it to my daughter for university. It had 35,000 km. We had it for 7 years, unfortunately it got written off after it got rear ended. She loved that car.

Great little runabout vehicle for driving in the city. Such an easy car to work on.

George, it's amazing how many of those used to be on the roads, and they have now all but vanished.  Seems like just about everyone I knew had one or knew somebody who had one.

My buddy bought one new in the mid 1980s.  He did everything with that car that you can imagine and he did not kill it.  It was a tough little car.

Thanks for sharing the pics and info.  That's a cool piece of history you have there.

There is a black Chevette with an L88 in it that looks stock floating around the interwebs.
