Well, I finally got my last N. Installed it on car and it looks very Canadian now.

Looks good there Lawrence. You will have to drop over the border a couple times to confuse those Yankees.

I got a blue one in a million pieces from Kelly in 2013 and still have it. This one Dave checked out for me in 2020 I could not resist adding my personal touch to this one.

If you pulled up behind it your brain probably wouldn't even register it. Well done trickery!

Seriously!  I'd probably have to look at it twice.

Years ago I saw the letters rearranged on the back of a first generation Firebird. PONTIAC became ANTICOP. Somehow I like this alteration better!

That looks great! Good job!
You really have to take your car into the US. I took my Beaumont to a Show-n-Shine in Montana once. We were only 60 miles from the border, but the car was a complete novelty for most of the folks there who had never heard of Acadians or Beaumonts. One with CANADIAN across the trunk will really weird them out. Probably do the saem for many Canadians too!

Luv this! I remember someone here doing a mock-up of this a few years ago. It motivated me to pick up a spare rear plate and a set of ACADIAN letters to do this. Never did it though because the grooves in the back of the letters didnt line up with those on the rear plate. Begs the question... how did you do it? Letters created from a 3D printer?

I used all 65 Acadian Beaumont letters as the groves match the 6 rib panel. On the smaller 65 Acadian the letters are the same  size but the rear panel has eight ribs making the groves a bit closer together. They will interchange but you have to alter the groves a bit. You can also use 64 Beaumont letters also but require making new groves or notching out the ribs to suit each letter. On this panel I had to fill all the original mounting holes, then measure the original letter spacing. I then laid out the letters and drilled new mounting holes and glued them in.

Very well done! (As these Acadian letters are so hard to come by Ive convinced myself that it would be wrong to modify them to line up on a 66 Beaumont panel. As a result Im likely going to eventually go the 3D route as I do luv the look.)

Thanks
I got the idea from a post Kelly posted years ago. I always wanted to do it but never got around to it till now, it seemed fitting this time to put a red Canadian panel on a white car, its kinda like the Canada flag.
