I believe the Chevrolet is  a 1953 and the Meteor is a 1954

The picture is a bit blurry but judging from the grille profile the green car looks more like a 1954 210 two door sedan.

I used to own both 53 and 54.  lovley old pumpkin shaped cars.

I agree with the Chevy being 1954. 1954 was the first year for the wheels with the dimples stamped into the wheel to hold the hubcap instead of the old style clips, the hubcaps are larger diameter than the 1953 and older style. I also see tinted glass in the Meteor, probably a rare option back then.

Good observation. I hadn't noticed that.

Showed this to my brother. He was a car salesman in Toronto for almost 60 years and remembers
these well. Here is his answer:

".....both cars are interesting, if not particularly valuable.....the Chev is probably a 1954 210, with the "Delray" club coupe trim.......the other is an ultra-rare 1954 Meteor "Special Niagara" coupe.... almost all Meteors had Mercury dashboards, but when Ford Canada saw it was running out of them, they offered a "Special" delete package with a refund of about 50 bucks, and put in a Ford dash...........back then, 95% of cars sold in Canada were made in Canada, but that might be an ivory colour 1953 US Pontiac Chieftain ragtop cruising by in the background"

Also another friend sent this:

" The green car is a 1954 Chevrolet coach 210 model. It's easy to tell with the side view - 54 has wrap-a-round parking light housings onto the front fenders & oval parking light lenses.  The 1953 has a long oval grill opening with a centre bar that has bullet nose teeth across it & the bar has a round parking light housing on each end of the bar (inside the grill opening).

The white car is a 1954 Meteor coach & the chrome script on the front fender says "Special Niagara". This was a fancier & limited 1954 option. The 1954 stainless side trim extends from just behind the headlight & is a straight piece that extends all the way back to the tail light. The 1953 side trim is also straight back from the headlight but ends just past the door on the 2 door."

 Duh!

Guess I should learn how to read instead of just looking at pictures.
