WTB - Vintage Sun Gauges

Looking for some gauges for my ride to match my Sun Tach.

Hoping to find oil pressure, water temp, possibly amps/volts, etc..

Let me know if you have something youd like to sell....

These are mostly smith gauges, very good quality but not sun. The tach is Faria, peaks at 4000 rpm, not sure what uses that.

I missed an NOS set in Victoria last year that were very nicely priced. Buying 50 year old untested gauges off ebay at super high prices doesn't appeal to me. Id much prefer to buy off a forum. These were quite popular in the day. I had a set but sold them with my 72 Nova. Here is a pic of what I have now.

These are my favorite gauges from the 70's but are getting really hard to find now, so I'm not sure what you consider reasonable price. Keep in mind the amps gauge requires the shunt and the water temperature gauge requires a Sun sending unit. The sender is unique to the Sun temp gauge and is very difficult to find and very very expensive if the seller has any knowledge whatsoever. The reproduction units may move the needle but wouldn't rely on them to be accurate.
A volts gauge is a great solution but usually commands a higher price because they don't require the shunt.
The temperature gauge can be converted to a mechanical bulb and capillary but that also gets costly once you factor in shipping but probably the most cost effective approach.
I have sold more than 50 of these gauges over the years, NOS and used.

I appreciate the info. Yes, I had these gauges in the past and loved them. I am aware of the sender and shunt issues. I work in the Electrical/instrumentation field. I have a supplier who will make me a shunt if I buy a gauge. Same style shunts are still used in DC motor/Drive applications. As well, there is a sender available that will work at a much more reasonable price than found on eBay... Its a bit of fab work to make it but I have made two for friends and they work flawlessly.
