I had pulled a Delco equalizer something like that from something early 1980's GM (I cannot recall what it was from), and installed it in my 1980 Monte Carlo back in 1996;
As I recall it was more or less plug and play - I think I had it tucked under the drivers seat in my Monte Carlo - I could really get the stereo to play loud with that!!

Still have my first FM stereo cassette player circa about 1975. Never forget how blown away I was at the sound that came out of that FM station. We didn't get FM radio in Saskatoon till the early seventies.

I was lucky enough to find a 65 AM-FM for my 64 GTO a few years ago (AM-FM wasnt an option in 64 on the Lemans/GTO). Ive got my original AM radio (working when removed) that I could pass along to someone if they need it.
