Plane Hood Emblem ID

Since there was a few people that quickly solved my last emblem quest I figured I would try and stump them again.

LOL.  Wife found 2 of these at her Late Mom's House while cleaning out. tried to google them but could not find any

like these.  Any hep would be appreciated. They are in Very Nice condition.

Thanks

to me they look like parts that would have been installed on the front fenders

here is an hood ornament website

https://www.google.com/search?q=car+hood+ornament+identification&oq=car+hood+or&aqs=chrome.4.0i512j69i57j0i512l5j0i457i512j0i512l2.7889j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

is there any part numbers on them?

My thoughts are I don't they have anything to do with cars.

To me they look like they are vintage wall sconces  (1940s ? ) that just happen to look like

jet plane  hood ornaments. If they are sconces they would be vertical and

I bet there are some missing glass and other pieces to complete them.

They are probably mounted something  like this

Electric Wall Sconces, Slip Shades, Art Dec, by Crown Lighting, Hallway Sconces - Bathroom Light

No part numbers on them, 3 holes have threads on both but the middle ones are opposite, thread on 2nd on one and 3rd hole on other.
Looks to be another parts slides into the back of them. Both her Dad and Mom have passed on so just more weird stuff to come across.

How big are they? Look too large for fenders. More likely what George suggested.
