The box looks a ft or 2 longer than the standard LWB, they didnt have to indent the fender for the spare. Looks like a 6?

1959 GMC 9380 2 ton stepside

I owned a 9380 panel truck. Basically the same as a 1 ton pickup with single wheels. The box would be 9 feet long and the GVW would be around 6000 lbs. If I recall the wheelbase is about 135. Far from a two ton truck. This truck would originally had 7:00-17 or 8-19.5 tires. If it was a two ton it would have had 6:50 or 7:00 tires on 20 rims.

 I find it a bit frustrating when a vehicle is on an Ontario Kijiji ad only to find that its in western Canada. I havent responded to these ads because its my thinking that the buyer would be responsible to have it shipped to Ontario after buying it sight unseen.

as Prefectca said the 9 ft box would have had a 135" wheelbase. the straight 6 was a 235ci. i still have my 55 gmc 9300.

I was looking at this 57 GMC in January but snoozed on it and someone else got it. It needed that long box. It also had the original running Pontiac V8 it came with and an extra cab They are cool looking old trucks

Definitely an American truck. the Canadian GMCs are the same as our Canadian Pontiacs. All the parts i order for my 55 GMCs i specify its for a chev.
