The status gauge sounds cool but I'd have to figure out how to write such an application. My HTML skills are stuck at around 2008 and a lot has changed since.
Don't you hate it when a company just goes ahead and renews your membership without any warning? That's what happened this weekend with my swag supplier (I pay a fee for the dropshipping service) and the online store hosting company and those costs were higher than expected. I also got hit with a Photobucket renewal which I need to keep going as there are hundreds of photos the site still accesses on there. Then 2 weeks ago the domain name renewals were automatically charged as well so there were quite a bit of costs all at once.

Todd, instead of a live program for site status it might be easier to add an image to the homepage and just update the image once a week or once a month. The fuel gauge image in a previous post comes to mind. If you had an old gauge you could take pictures of the gauge at several needle positions and then use the appropriate image to indicate the site status. I am by no means remotely familiar with computer programming, just a suggestion.

Could some computer-savvy individual here make up about maybe a dozen pictures of a "site funds gauge" showing the needle anywhere from empty to full? Todd could post the appropriate picture as you suggest, weekly, every 10 days, every month or however he feels. I like your idea!

It is very easy to get the source code for a "donation gauge". Just tweak the code to your wants and needs.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the support! It's really awkward for me to have to do posts like this.

Don't feel bad Todd, we all know it's difficult to finance this endeavour.

When selling anything thru this sight I always try to donate something to Todd, everyone should.....biggrin.(Todd).

A campaign once or twice a year will keep us on track and ensure our great and friendly site continues.

If every member gave $10. a year we'd never hear from Todd about this.....smile.

Donation sent.

Being sort of a CP newbie and from the West Coast we've never crossed paths or traded "BS". If it wasn't for people like you there would be no common place for CP members to vent or find info on parts and suppliers of our "CANADIAN" interest. Donation sent.

Exactly. Todd has created something that never existed before for a decent sized group of fan for these unique cars.
