COLLECTIBLE AUTOMOBILE ARTICLE

I have an assignment to write an article about the Chevelle-based 1964-1965 Acadian Beaumont and 1966-1969 Beaumont models for COLLECTIBLE AUTOMOBILE magazine. The article will be about 3,100 words and is well under way. I have purchased factory sales literature for the 1964, 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969 models.

I am looking for help with any of the following content that would add to the story:

1- A list of 1964-1969 Beaumont models and prices, possibly from a source similar to the NADA, Blue Book and Red Book used car guides published for U.S. cars.

2- Production figures for 1964-1969 Beaumonts that are verified and available for "free use" in such an article. I will be happy to list sources of this information to attract customers or enthusiasts to them.

3- An expert who could proofread the finished story before I submit it for publication. Credit will be given.

4- Any information about erroneous facts that made it into the Beaumont sales catalogs.

5- Any scans of the 1965 Acadian Beaumont sales catalog.

6- Any advice or suggestions.

7- (NEW) Any information about how GM of Canada management was set up, what people were running the company or the Pontiac sales branch, and whether the Pontiac sales branch had separate management.

8- (NEW) Opinions on whether the Acadian, Acadian Beaumont and Beaumont were or were not considered "Pontiac" products.

9- (New) Any info on Acadian/Acadian Beaumont/Beaumont sales by Buick dealers in Canada.

The article is due on April 27 but I hope to have it done earlier than that.

Hey John!
I sure hope you get some good information for this article!
Please let us know which issue it will be printed in so that we can go out to buy it!!

I immediately recognized your name as I have several books that you authored, or co-authored (one book was even bought directly from you, and you signed it for me);
I haven't noticed your name out much lately, but maybe that's because I haven't been looking - what have you been up to lately?
(I'm pretty sure if you've been busy writing Ford or Mopar books, no one here will hold it against you )

Ditto!  I used to collect every issue of Collectible Automobile, but stopped buying years ago when my local newsstands started to disappear.

I will definitely want to get the issue with your article, and it could prompt me to get a subscription, actually.  Print media is a risky business these days, a witnessed by the demise of The Rodder's Journal (still waiting for copies from my subscription that I will never get), so I like to support it when possible.

yeah;

I'd really love to help, but I've learned a WHOLE lot more from this site about the idiosyncrasies of Canadian Pontiacs over their American built counterparts!

My knowledge on Beaumonts it's light at best.

I actually want to collect Canadian printed model information for 70-72 Firebirds and Lemans (ect) as well as any post-1972 Firebird stuff I can find.
My brother recently scored a Canadian printed brochure for 1973 Firebirds.
