1963 Pontiac Parisienne 2 Door Hardtop in light blue with dark blue roof. 283 cu in engine with 2 speed Powerglide transmission. Car was built in Oshawa, Ontario, sold by Weaver Motors in Trenton, Ontario to the original owner and was purchased by the current owner 15 years ago. Interior is like new with new floor mats/carpets/trunk mat and exterior was repainted to the match the original colour 6 years ago. Chrome and paint are in excellent condition with no rust, damage or body fill. Car starts and drives like new, has only 59,000 original miles, comes with power windows, dual exhaust, radial white lettered tires, chrome fender skirts and Hugger custom cover. Car is all original, all numbers match and includes original owners manual. Asking $30,000.

buckets with three on the tree manual transmission combination as well.

I have owned a couple of cars that were column shift with buckets. My girlfriend at the time had a 71 Camaro with buckets and no console with auto on the column. A friend of mine has a 1967 Camaro with a front bench seat with auto on the column. Its been in storage for years. I might be able to get some pictures if I can get a hold of him.

I wonder if buckets were a separate order option in 1963? If it had buckets wouldnt it have a console? Ive seen Chevy sss with buckets, console, and 3 on the tree. If a powerglide, it had a console. The 3 on the tree console had a cover where a shifter would have been on a PG or 4 speed.

Yes, you could get bucket seats without a console. The newest ones that I can remember were a 70 GTO 400/4 speed with buckets and no console and the 71 Camaro I mentioned earlier. The carpet is different also. It meets in the middle with finished edges because its visible between the seats.

My comment applies to a 1963 Parisienne only, I have also seen lots of newer cars with buckets and no console.

The brochure shows buckets as an option, but doesn't mention that they have to be ordered with a console.  It is double starred, though, saying availability determined by model and equipment, so who knows?

FWIW, I'm pretty sure this car has shown up for sale on this site in the past.  It's a colour combination that you don't forget.

Was there even a console available in 63? For some reason I had it in my head we've seen other 63 bucket seat cars here with no console.

 I would not be surprised to have been able to get buckets without a console. Bucket seats were available long before the console was available.
