Wow, that's a rare bird.  To my recollection, GM of Canada kept on with the B-body Pontiacs after the American division killed them in '82.  Then, PMD started selling them, using the Canadian badging, stateside for a couple of model years, '85-'86?  And, no, I'm sure there weren't any 4-cyl versions.  IIRC, we were looking at a couple of SBCs, 305 and 350 displacement.  I don't think the 3.8L V6 made it's debut until '88 or '89.

OK, so, apparently I do NOT recall correctly:

Automotive History: 1982-1986 Pontiac Parisienne The Canadian Immigrant | Curbside Classic

but since I can't remember what I had for breakfast, this should come as no surprise.

The VIN says 82 Kevin. 10th digit is a C. Why were you saying had to be 83-84? I'm willing to learn about these!

No, only V-6 or V-8 in these.

The auction description says 5 litre, so its a 305. I was surprised that its a two door

Yes, engine code H so it will be a 305 4 barrel. Other than some soft camshafts those 305's were great in the B bodies.

Those 305s were good in taxis. A friend of mine had taxis back in the 80s and one of his Impalas had well over 600,000 km on it. It ended its career when it was T-boned by a guy running a red light. No injuries, but it would have been interesting to see how long it would have lasted.
