Im not exactly sure when they closed, but it was when Ralph Lye passed away. His son Glenn who was running the business shut it down to concentrate on his home centre business. ( quoted from the Brandon Sun obits). Which is the only info about the small town GM dealer.

Yes it does date back to 1964, somewhere i have a picture of it operating as a GM Dealer.

Agree, and love that US engine marker on the Parisienne front fenders, matches my sense of humour. Do you get a lot of laughs/comments/arguments at shows?

 Yes, i get strange looks and questions. I explain that its a Dart Industries block and heads punched out to 421 cid. (4.155x3.875)

with a Weiand Hi-Pro tunnel ram. And they leave being more confused than before. Lol
