Memories of Toronto Restaurants

Bassels Restaurant, which occupied the equivalent space of three stores on Yonge Street. I came of age to attend real restaurants in the 1960s, in a decade when more Torontonians were beginning to discover the delights of dining out.It was also the era when post-war immigrants were changing the restaurant scene.

Extensive list of Toronto's dining spots.

Will have to continue reading.  Memories for sure.

My list would be very small compared to the authors.

Im the 70s someone took me to a great jazz place, a restaurant with chrome tables, I dont remember the food but the New Orleans style jazz was great. Had PEI oysters at a nearby oyster bar, they were extremely fresh and came from Malpeque Bay near home.
