Interior Restorinramificationing

Ok. Car will be (ermine) white roof, white stripes, butternut yellow (maize). Engine work is almost complete and car running great (more efficient- new ignition system, new carburetor, master cylinder, proportioning valve, exhaust headers so I am no longer scraping train tracks, front brake fixes). Car about to leave for 6months off body repairs and paint. I need everyone to put on their Interior Designer thinking caps and HELP! decide what colour scheme for the interior (keeping in mind the car will ultimately reside in central Florida HOT (well send postcards...). There will be some black, some parchment or pearl parchment(metallic parchment), some white, some...? What colour(s)? For a start, the seats will NOT be black.
Another question...where are people getting all their replacement interior stuff?

Loving everything you've listed!

Can you get a white headliner? That would go great with white seats, door panels, black dash and carpet.

White headliner is listed on Legendary Auto Interiors web site. I have to get the Chevelle/Malibu 1968 equivalent. I was thinking the same for headliner. Only two option seem to be black and white. And the only available option is black dash it seems. So black for console and dash.....unless those can be painted?

I think youre right. And much easier to find those parts if black. But look at this, what I found! Faux wood dash decal. And I think it is a fit! for the cost I might bring it in to see.

Legendry is quoting a 10 months turnaround.

Terry at NOS has not only a faster time and in my estimation a nicer product that includes the headliner, sail panels and sun visors all to match

How do I get in touch with Terry? I hope to find materials before 10 months! Im actually hoping to have some components completed within 6, and then finish the interior job a month after. By end of April/May latest.

I installed PUI white interior in my 2+2 convertible in 2012. Still looks fantastic! The only negative is keeping it clean, but being a hardtop, yours should be easier. Just stating my experience.

I just found out the whopping price difference between replacement injection headrests and vinyl covers.

Has anybody splurged for the reproduction, injection mold headrests ?

Are they worth the price ?

Were the original headrests on the bench seats, injection molds as well ?

Yes Randy, I bought a set back in 2012. They come only in black, so you have to paint to match. I used a paint with a flex agent in it. They have held up nicely, except cracking in the paint along the seam line. i recently bought a headrest cover and will recover it. I am tired of repainting the cracked areas. My recommendation, fix the originals, unless of course you have a black interior. The originals were not made like these reproduction ones.
