I need a windshield for my "new" 94 Impala SS. My wife is still working at the dealership I retired from so I got her to order it from one of our suppliers (on Sept 6th). They said it would take 2-3 days to get it and they would deliver it on the next truck.
About 3 "next trucks" later, still no glass delivered, they said "oh, it came in chipped, we'll have to get another one". Fine, these things happen. For sure it would be delivered today. Still no glass today. My wife calls to check why and after the call she emails me this-
"He was apologizing pretty good but then toward the end of the phone call he said that it was for a old crappy vehicle so I told him that it actually was in very good shape and so I wouldnt call it crappy. He had to backtrack just a little when I let him know that was not an appropriate way of commenting on a customer vehicle."
I haven't quit laughing since I read the email! Seriously, that is how you talk to customers???!!! By telling them their vehicle isn't worthy of the part they need for it?
And my wife, she's a keeper, I love that she didn't just take it sitting down.
