Will let dealer instal the new alternator as there is diagnostic labour and install labour as well.
Been satisfied with dealer service up to this point. CAA was excellent in finding me stranded.
Was only room for one person in tow truck so had to contact Uber driver by phone for him to find me on the side of highway. Some anxious moments for my wife but we stayed safe.
Last year we needed a sending unit lock ring for my work 2009 Hyundai Sante Fe. No aftermarket available. That ring was $56 from the dealer. I figured $10 bucks max was all it was worth.
Back in the early 2000s a coworker owned a Safari van. The rear differential cover was rusty and leaking. He was mentioning that he was going to pick one up at our local wrecking yard for $10. I was on the phone at the time with the GM parts department ordering a wiper transmission for one of our plow trucks. I inquired about the diff cover, $8 with our discount, cheaper than the used part!
As a member of the Hyundai family I do swear by and use exclusively Downtown Genesis for servicing my G80. While the dealership is called Downtown Genesis the service department is shared with Downtown Hyundai. Primarily the car goes in for regular service on warranty which is absolutely no cost to me as part of the Genesis purchase price. While i have yet to pay for anything I fully intend to continue to have the car serviced by trained Factory technicians. I have come to the conclusion that after purchasing a proper luxury automobile that I do not want anyone monkeying around with the car who neither knows what it is nor appreciates it.
