Amazing- that no one in the pics is noticing the cars, says a lot about how blasted the people are by other concerns. With water levels high enough to float these 2 cars off a lift, Which happened in a lot of areas, there could be a lot of people who drowned in the homes and apartments?

Sad that a person has so much money that these highly valuable cars were left there. I wouldve been driving them , with three buddies, straight North if need be. 4 Daytona/Superbirds=a new home in a new state.

It's easy to second guess after we know the result.  There was a post saying that the 2 cars on the bottom level (another Superbird and Daytona) were removed and the 2 on the top level of the lifts were left in the raised position.  I read on another forum that the storm took a last-second turn such that this area saw storm surge much greater than previously predicted.  I would guess that either the owner didn't have time to safely remove the top two or gambled (wrongly) that they would remain above the waterline.

Such is life, and in the end, they are only cars.

FWIW, they look salvageable to me, even with the salt water infiltration.  They are high-end cars that somebody will most likely repair.

He's pretty way north of all the worst destruction. Still, hope all is well with him.
