Furnace oil went up again here in PEI overnight to $2.08/litre. I haven't heard of any electricity increases here yet but it wouldn't surprise me if there are soon. Normally we use the heat pump (currently about $100/month to operatie) 90% of the time and the woodstove 10% but if we see a big increase in electricity cost we'll switch it the other way around. I have enough wood on the ground thanks to Fiona to heat my home for years.

Cristina Freeland said on national tv the Canadians have 28 billion dollars in the bank and we want that money. They will get it with gas and food home heating .... they want every one to go to electric heat.......

NS Power has applied for a 10% increase, I have a heat pump. Furnace oil could be crazy high this winter and most here in NS use oil, very little access to mat gas. Our electricity is already amongst the highest in Canada.
