1967 Grande Parisienne

I would like to find the one that got away. In high school in the late 1990s I had my classic car in reach. I lived in Hinton, Alberta.  There was a small used car lot with two classic cars sitting side by side. A 1969 Mercury Marauder X100 and a 1967 Grande Parisienne 2 door hardtop. I loved that Grande and would go and sit in it as it was left unlocked all the time. It was Bolero red, with parchment bucket seat interior and console. It was a 396 automatic. Money was not coming in fast but the day I had enough to buy it, I went down to the lot, and the car was gone. I was shattered. Imagine my excitement when I see the car in a driveway in town a few days later! I knocked on the door preparing to beg to buy the car from its new owner. Turns out that it was the seller who moved it to his home until the new buyer came to pick it up. Shattered again. The guy also owned the mercury and offered me a really good discount on it. I had my heart set on the Grande, and passed on it.

Does anyone out there own this car, or know of it? I know its unlikely that I can ever have this car, but I sure would love to see it again and know it is still out there and in good hands. Any information would be fantastic.

I had saved this shot I found on line about 8 years ago. I think the car was in Holland,

Back in the late 60's our neighbor across and over one owned a new '68 Mercury Meteor Rideau 500 fastback, and his daughter & son-in-law (& granddaughter Shelby) visited from time to time from Orillia in a black '67 Grande Parisienne coupe like the one on the cover of the brochure. I would guess that it was scrapped 45 years ago, being the rust belt.

I always thought it was neat the Grande Parisienne offered Parchment buckets, while the Caprice did not.

How about the the Burgundy 1969 Parisienne in the Edmonton area? Anyone know of that one?

I believe there is a possibility that this is the 1967 Grande Parisienne that eluded me some 25 years ago.

Same exterior color. Same white bucket seat interior. It did not have the pin striping or the custom rims though. The licence plate is British Columbia. The post said something about Langley. Has anyone seen this car?
