1976 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne, 20000 orig miles- One family Owned. Fort Qu'Appelle, SK

Great story behind this one. Not cheap though

ruck is in storage, if your serious, come look at it.

1976 Cheyenne, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, gauges, sliding rear window, 350-4 barrel, turbo 350 trans, 3:07 gears, step bumper, mirrors, GM topper, dual exhaust, radial tires, This truck is in miles, not KM. If you ever have heard the term, "their only original once" it's true, I've driven and owned fully restored, top to bottom 1st place in their class cars, and this is a different ride, hard to explain, it just is. It even smells new, the interior has never seen any kind of cleaning or protectants. The paint has never been waxed or detailed. It does have a CB radio and 8 track player mounted under the dash Transmission cooler and 2" receiver hitch Ash tray never used, Box never used for anything that would scratch it. I've never taking the seat cover off, it's been on since the fall of 1975. it is red velour under it Haggerty appraisal available.

I wont respond to "is this still available"? unless you take the time to provide a phone number. asking $37,000.00 Truck is in Fort Qu'Appelle Thanks for looking, have a Blessed day, Dave Have old photo's from new, factory paperwork, keys, history ect... this is a once in a lifetime buy, ready for the next caretaker. In September of 1975, my Dad flew to Oshawa Ontario and watched his truck being built, then drove it home.

It never has been to the dealer.

Dad had to order off of a 1975 book, because the 76 book was not out yet.

It is a early 1976 build and has no shoulder belts, they came later in 76.

Dad wanted the heavy duty half ton, I forget the GVW, but if you ordered this one it had no Catalytic converters.

This truck was what they called the “BIG TEN” that you would see later on... or the heavy half by GMC

He wanted the Cheyenne, better seat and carpet, didn't want power window’s or door locks, they could give problems, broken wires ect, no tilt, seen to many GM columns that were loose.

He did want power steering and brakes.

Air conditioning too

Didn’t want the Silverado, had another side chrome trim that could rust later, along with the wheel well trim. The even asked at the factory before it left if he wanted the tu-tone paint and side trim added....he said nope!

I now have it in my garage, all pictures of the way it is without any cleaning....It has never been waxed, no amor all or any cleaners ever used.

I turned over 20,000 miles on the way home from Yorkton.

Just put fresh gas in, dumped a little fuel down the carb and drove it home, tires still had air.

All Dad ever did was put radial tires and dual exhaust on.

It was a honor to drive Dad’s truck, he is still alive and living in a nursing home.

He did call the next day and say he had second thoughts LOL, but did say it is in the family, and don’t let the grand kids play in it.

We could only sit in the truck with our church clothes and weren’t allowed to move the sun visors, they could wear out and keep falling down...we have all seen that LOL

Could not turn the vents in the dash....we have all seen those vents wear out too and not stay where you put them.

I could go on and on....

Take care,

Dave

The original owner or the salesman did some research when ordering this truck. The F44 option got you heavier suspension to just get over the 6000# limit for light duty emissions. No catalytic converters and no egr.

Those look like the thin whitewall Michelins you could buy back then?

The engine compartment says it all, looks like the day it was delivered .

I remember them new. Correct moldings for a Cheyenne, including just the upper side moldings & narrow tailgate insert. New '76 caps.

They did a ZE2 Olympic Edition in Canada on Scottsdale trim.

That would go with the F44 heavy duty equipment option. It probably rode like a lumber wagon, hence the change to radial tires.

That's good that he didn't want power windows and locks on his 1976 because if memory serves me right they weren't available until 1977...!

If it had air it'd be worth what, 40?

C'mon, 37? ...Really?

No one in their right mind is even going to consider the price.

I wouldn't be surprised if it went to the US. There is a huge following for these trucks, especially in this condition.

When you convert his asking price to USD it's $27000. Bring a trailer had a 76 with 51000 miles and it sold for $22250 back in March. He may not be far off with his price. Crazy eh?

I didnt even consider the exchange rate. I guess that once you take that into consideration they may not be as far out to lunch as I thought. My father has an 85 Silverado short box that is appraised at 28k, and its not a perfect truck so I guess it is not out of reach
